SAMPLE ADMISSION ESSAY
English is nowadays a necessity for people all around the globe, especially for those who live and work in the English-speaking world. Being aware of the importance of the ESL programmes, I decided to dedicate my life to teaching English to people who need it to achieve success in their work and studies. I know that to become a good ESL teacher I have to keep up with the latest trends in the theory of teaching this subject. New teaching methodologies are being developed today, and I am willing to learn more about them.

The specificity of the ESL methodology makes it stand out of other programs, as its aim is to provide learners with effective and intensive teaching. The focus of the programme being spoken English learned in the communicative process, I am sure that learning these principles will enable me to teach people ESL more efficiently. I want to practice ESL teaching, learn more about its methodology, and communicate with people engaged into the same sphere of activity.

As I am firm in my decision to devote my life to teaching English, I am sure this programme will help me gain skills and knowledge necessary for that. My target group of students are 5-6-graders, though I do not mind trying to teach children of other age groups, and even adults. I will be happy to teach my students English so that to ensure that they have chances for continuing education and developing their careers in this country, so the ESL programme is crucial to help me perform my duty to our community.
